Recipes for Christmas Dinner - Stuffed Bone In Ham

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

In a large skillet saute the onion, celery and parsley in butter until they are soft.

In a large bowl, replace the egg, milk, sage, thyme and salt. Add cut the bread into cubes and vegetable mixture, even throw.

HERB BAKED CATFISH

2 pounds catfish fillets

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 medium clove garlic, minced

½ teaspoon pepper

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon dried thyme

½ teaspoon dried basil

½ teaspoon dried oregano

2 tablespoons lemon juice

2 tablespoons parsley, chopped

Combine garlic and olive oil, spread evenly over the bottom of a baking disk. Combine pepper, salt, pepper,Thyme, basil and oregano. Sprinkle herb mixture on both sides of the fish. Arrange fillets on greased baking dish. Drizzle with lemon juice. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes or until fish is almost done.

Move the casserole dish over 4 to 6 inches from heat, and cook 4 to 6 minutes longer or until fish flakes when tested. Remove fish platter and pour pan juices over fish. Garnish with parsley, if desired.

Yields 6 servings.

4. Pour the mixture into a bowl and stir in oil.
5. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.

1. Combine avocado, tomatoes, onions, cilantro and salt.
2. Spread filling evenly over the roll center of each egg wrapper.

WINGS: Cut whole wings at joints and discard tips. Sprinkle wings liberally with Lawry's seasoned salt. Deep fry until golden brown and crispy. Drain on absorbent paper.

SAUCE: Combine melted butter and hot sauce to give a large bowl, mix well. Add wings and coatevenly.

This recipe is for mild wings-add extra hot sauce for more heat. Serve with bleu cheese and celery.

Bacon and Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms

Ingredients:

8 ounces cream cheese,
softened 5 or 6 slices of bacon,
crisply fried
1 small onion, chopped - or less
15-20 large mushrooms

How to Prepare:

Preheat oven to 350.Take the tribes out of your mushrooms, 4 or 5 reserved. They also provide clean mushrooms and set aside.

ChopTheir onion well, and chop the stems reserved.

Fry your bacon til crisp, reserving the fat. Cook your onion and stems until in the course of the bacon fat. Drain the fat and add onions / stems, the soft cream cheese. Crumble bacon into your cheese mixture. Combine well. Scoop some into each mushroom cap. The baking time is approximately 10-15 minutes on baking sheet with edges, then fry to brown the tops. Yummy! Large refrigerated and reheated in the oven the next day!

Recipes for Christmas Appetizer - Tempura Chicken Wings

These sweet and sour chicken wings are delicious for holiday gatherings.

3 pounds uncooked chicken wing sections or wingettes

1 cup cornstarch

3 eggs, lightly beaten

Oil for deep fat frying

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup white vinegar

1/2 cup currant jelly

1/4 cup soy sauce

3 tablespoons ketchup

2 tablespoons lemon juice

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Place cornstarch into a large re-sealable plastic bag. Drop in chicken wings, a few at a time. Shake wings in bag to coat evenly. Dip the wings into the eggs.

Heat an electric frying pan or deep fryer to 357 degrees. Fry chicken wings for 8 minutes or until golden brown, juices should run clear. Turn wings occasionally while cooking. Drain on absorbent paper.

In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, vinegar, jelly, soy sauce, ketchup and lemon juice. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 10minutes.

Place chicken wings into a greased 15x10x1-inch baking pan.

Pour half of the sauce over wings. Bake, uncovered, for 15 minutes. Turn wings over and pour on remaining sauce. Bake another 10 to 15 minutes or until chicken juices run clear and the coating is set.

Makes 30 wings.

1 egg

1 egg white

1/3 cup Milk

1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes

1 / 2 teaspoon salt

1 / 4 teaspoon baking powder

Dash pepper

1 / 3 cup fresh broccoli, finely chopped

1 / 3 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

1 / 4 cup fresh mushrooms, finely chopped

1 tablespoon onion, finely chopped

Directions

Prepare miniature muffin pans with non-stick cooking spray.

Use a rolling pin to roll the flat bread. Cut with a 2-1/2-inch breadbiscuit cutter. Discard the extra piece of bread or save for another purpose.

Press the bread rounds into the prepared miniature muffin tins. Roast 6-inches from heat until golden brown (about 2 to 3 minutes). Cool in the pan.

In a bowl beat the eggs, season protein, milk, parsley, salt, baking powder, thyme and pepper. Stir in the broccoli, cheese, mushrooms and onions. Spoon 1 teaspoon of toasted bread in each round.

Bake at 350 degrees will be for 15 to 20 minutes let it set. Serveimmediately.

Makes 24 appetizers.

40 large pitted black olives

3 / 4 cup Italian salad dressing

40 thin slices salami

Directions

Cook tortellini according topackage directions; drain and rinse in cold water.

In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the tortellini, olives and salad dressing. Seal the bag and turn bag back and forth to coat. Refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.

Drain and discard the marinade.

To make each appetizer, take a short skewer or toothpick and thread in this order: a green olive, folded pepperoni slice, tortellini, folded salami piece, black olive and parsley sprig.

Makes 40 appetizers.

1 teaspoon mustard

1 / 4 teaspoon red pepper sauce

Directions

Slice eggs in half lengthwise. Remove the yolks and set the whites aside.

In a small bowl, mash the yolks. Stir in the mayonnaise, chili sauce, mustard and paprikasauce.

Spoon or use a pastry bag to pipe egg yolk into egg whites. Sprinkle with paprika. Refrigerate before serving.

Consider the things when planning a dinner party

The most successful dinners are planned long in advance. In order not only to relieve yourself of unnecessary stress but you will ensure that the night goes perfectly smooth and that you enjoy the evening as much as your guests. Following are some items that you want to check and plan in time for the night of your next dinner party.

* Send invites with occasion topic (if any), time, address andone rsvp contact.

* Confirm visitors.

* Include other items on your shopping list, you may also need, namely coffee, tea, mixers, liquor, wine, candles, etc.

* Polish, the cutlery.

* Check and wash the glasses and polished, if need be.

* Check your dishes. Had enough? Is it lined?

* Choose your settings, when a table.

* Do you have enough chairs?

* Set the table for a test, how to access theDay.

* Select the music for the dinner? Play-list, or CD's?

* Organize or light candles for the evening. Underestimate is not the music and lighting, a dinner party for all purposes and not only on the tongue.

* Cleanup.

* Do you know the number for your local taxi or a spare bed or two, if not some of your guests will be able to drive.

Write a Shopping List

Write your shopping list from the menu and the recipes you will need on the night.

Write a Prep List

If you don't write it down, there is a good chance you will miss it. Professional kitchens work from prep lists all day right up to service time, if you do the same (even days before) you will have a stress free night.

Write a Running Order

Ever wonder how when you're at a wedding (a good one, that is), like the kitchen, fed and maintained for all time as one flows naturally to the other so seamlessly? Now, I can assure you is the kitchen is not winging it. They run on a very precise temporal sequence. Each piece of the puzzle is already planned and prepared for a specified time. This blueprint for how and when the kitchen tasks can be done to be called everything from a "running order" to "Work Flow". Whatever you call it, it is important to ensure that youone.

Below is a sample menu prep list and are exported to a dinner party, I have not included such as a shopping list, which is pretty self-explanatory. Let us, in this case, the guests arrive at 7:00 clock and take the dinner will be served at 7:40 Clock.

* Halve peaches (do it from refrigerator now to allow them tocome to room temperature).
